On the same tape as Country Boy (now sadly long gone) and probably
recorded on the same day - might even have been the next track.

The song starts with the same intro chord pattern as More Than a
Feeling: D(sus4), CMaj, Gmaj. The intro was also arpegiated, but with
on a six string electric, rather than 12 string acoustic and had a
simpler sounding picking pattern.

After the intro, it went into a soaring guitar solo, quite a compressed,
rather than overdriven sound, but very sustainy. I probably recorded it
from the Tommy Vance show around 1982-1985.

Sorry - Im probably a lost cause.

hey David, give us a clue - how about somthing from the lyrics?
Anything esle you can remember as the chord sequence fits a fair few
songs. if all youre remembering is that section of the song, and it
wasnt actually the beginning, it could almost be Badge by Cream.

cheers

Ive been trying to work out the opening bars from memory. Much to high
to hum. If I get something approaching it Ill record it and see if it
makes any more sense to anyone.

Ah, now thats a possibility. Was about the same era, and ISTR they got
quite a bit of play on the Friday Night Rock Show. My mate (at school/
college) was quite into them.
