I know a lot of us use the german newserver via Click and Buy.
http://www.clickandbuy.com/UK/en/
Ive been trying to change my payment card via their webpage but there is
nothing happening.

Has anybody else managed it ?

Hi Peter,
Somebody else has reported similar problems today over on
uk.telecom.broadband.
Thread = Tried everything but Zen speed still poor
Apparently he tried three different credit/debit cards without success and
ended up paying by Paypal (which apparently is an option).

I dont know about the UK, but in Germany theres the option of doing
a direct debit or pre-financing your account directly from your bank
account.

That sorted it.
Apparently you have to cancel the subscription with Click and Buy first.
Paypal will do just fine I think.

This must be a recent thing - I updated mine without trouble recently.
Hope it is just temporary
