Hi
Looking for a good sounding MP3 player (not iPOD) for use in the car,
will plug it into the existing CD radio.
I am becoming attached to the Creative Zen 5 4Mb unit but some reviews
say if freezes ect.

Need 4Gb at least, not bothereed about video playback - any suggestions?
Cheers
Robert

Ive had an iRiver H320 for the last few years and am very happy with it.

Why not try an iRiver H10 6GB?

Both I and The Girl have owned Zen Sleeks (20Gb) for ages now, with no
problems on either of ours. Im more than happy with mine.
I run mine from the headphone out into the audio on my car stereo and
the sound quality is fine.

Hope that helps,

Mike E

I have both an Ipod 80gb and a Zen V 4gb, the Ipod is great but for your
needs the Zen fits the bill, its small and robust http://tinyurl.com/2lzew8

Anyone know anything about the feasibility of adding an mp3 socket to
an existing car radio and the likely cost to get it professionally
done?

TIA

Steve.

I think way more expensive that just getting an FM transmitter for the
MP3 player and tuning the radio to it.
Some radios have aux ins, but to add one would be a PITA I think..

I have an FM transmitter already and its fine. I just thought that a
simple mini jack socket on the car stereo would be neater.

I can appreciate the PITA comment though - remove stereo, drill hole,
connect socket, etc..........

I think the main problem would be it would need some electronics work
too and its awfully tight inside a radio!
Then again, I am really not technical in that sense, so maybe it is
easier than I imagine.
