It distresses me that someone is going to part with a lot of money for this
item.

The faker has gone to a lot of trouble to make this look convincing though.

Can you spot the tell-tale giveaway signs?

No idea, looks real to me. Not that Im a Gibson expert, Ive never
owned one and avoid playing them at all costs!

The headstock looks wrong - too narrow, more like a Standard than a
Custom. The Custom shape is wider and more flared.

What are the other differences?

Fair enough - youre definitely more attuned to the details of that
bridge than I am - and Ive *got* a LP Custom (thirty years old this
very year - I bought in in October 78).

the tuners in the headstock face pic are different to those in all the
others

Correct... the frontal shot shows Kluson Sealfasts, whilst the rear
shots show Grovers (or copies, in either case).
