According to the web http://guitars.co.uk/
the shop is closed down for business.
Full statement can be found here:

This is indeed sad for a number of reasons.

Its sad for Richard personally
I understand a lot of work was put in raise the shop to a professional
level.

Its sad for the staff and its also sad for our guitar player who ordered a
Stratocaster American Deluxe some time ago.
At this point he doesnt know if the Ł865 paid via Visa is lost or what is
going to happen.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The very concerned bass-player (what can I say)

If it was a Visa *credit* card, hes OK as it was over Ł100 and the card
issuer is liable. If its a Visa *debit* card then he can try for a
chargeback through the card company, but if the retailer has gone bust
he may be stuffed.

Get in quick with a claim. Should be OK on a *credit* card, but bear in
mind that when a company goes bust the customers are the last to get paid
(usually pennies in the pound).

Get him to get the money back ASAP.

Speak to creditcard supplier immediately. Should be OK, IMHO if a
credit card . Not so if a debit card or charge card. Banks do tend to
be pretty good about settling up when a credit card is used in this
sort of situation.

Richard doesnt answer his emails, or the phone, just says on his
website to contact the bank.

Pretty much will hope the CC company will pay you back.
I believe you can put in a dispute, CC company are liable and so will
pay. I think you have to sign a disclaimer saying that you didnt
receive the goods
