Maybe its funny once but not when its used as a mainstay as they did in the
show. Incidentally,
I thought she was the best thing on it but I thought she was distinctly
average at best.
But as a group of comedians it wasnt funny to me personally and probably
why
it isnt on the telly anymore (I dont know this for a fact as I dont watch
telly or own one for that matter).
But maybe Ive got it all wrong and have blown a funny fuse instead.
As for chimps arguement for more diversity regardless of quality. Well,
everyones different in some way
so do we all get a TV show? No. Its about quality pure and simple. TV is a
commerial enterprise, if its
no good it gets the bullet. Back to my original point though, it wasnt
funny enough to be a comedy show
in my opinion and everyone I have spoke to about it agrees. So I think it
must have been given a leg-up
to get it on the box in the first place. Theres an underlying feeling here
that minorities dont matter until
they get big enough, the irony.
To get back on topic, for this group anyways, I bet at least one of the cast
plays a mean Sitar!!!
