Others have already answered.
If that was the Best Of The [USA] Johnny Cash Show 1969-1971 shown on
BBC4 a couple of weeks ago, I dont think Elvis was in it. Conway Twitty
(doing his best to look like Elvis) was there though. So was Marty
Robbins. And Merle Haggard (doing Jimmie Rodgers). And Chet Atkins. It
was a great period for country music.
I noticed on singer/acoustic player (Charley Pride) being a bit vague
with the chords of the rhythm part, he modulated with the band from F
into F# (IIRC), but he was sometimes a little approximate with the
fingering - which wasnt as important as it sounds because he was only
following through with his right hand part of the time. But you could
hear the guitar when he played it. And I can forgive him almost anything
because his songs were so ggod.
The bassists and lead guitarists (especially the lead player with the
Fendr Jaguar) looked either bored to tears or nervous as a petrified rabbit.
I still enjoyed it - especially Chets medley.
