Having just got back, I have to say it was pretty bloody
damn good.

Mcphee did some great acoustic blues and had a female vocalist dueting on a few
numbers ( sorry I cant remember her name - its been a long day :O)
He finished with Groundhog blues - what else - and was that a RS he
was playing ?

Didnt know what to expect from Winter, never having seen him before
but he and the band were very very good.
Frankenstien was really cool.

Alvin Lee then blew me ( and I hope a few others) away completley:
A 1/4 way through the set he did a few acoustic numbers, the finger picking
countyr thing he did was stunning, as was the Tribute To George ( Harrison)
which really moved me.

The inveitable encore realized two numbers, Lee doing all the classic R&R
riffs:
ala Chuck Berry, Scotty Moore, etc, during an extended Going Home followed by
Mr Winter at the half way playing wicked sax.

A great night.

Go and see them.

Yes, I was lucky enough to catch the start of this tour in Bristol
and having been an Edgar Winter fan since about 73 this was great
and my third and best concert of his that I have attended.

Seriously good musician, shame Johnny isnt doing as well as
him.
