Im not going to do it. The whole event was too stuffed with laughs,
great performances, unrecoverable stuff-ups, frightening talent, way too
much booze and The Folkies. However, if i had to pick one thing that
will stay with me forever it is the tale of Tommy the Tortoise and his
endless torture at the hands of a prepubescent Vinny.

Myself and Sam had a fantastic weekend, everyone I met was really nice
and the array of talent had me dumbstruck. Its hard to single out
anyone because there were so many things that had me drooling at the
mouth. However I must put a special mention in for Jon Gomm who made me
want to give up and go home, truly an amazing talent, not just his
playing but also his song writing and his quirky arrangements. His CD
is going to earn its money over the coming months without a doubt. And
not only that but he was truly magnanamous in his praise for other
people no matter what their level was, as Sam put it hes a truly nice
guy.

Thanks to Ian C (another truly nice guy) for lending me the Ibanez and
ferrying several of us about , I think I have become one of the
converted. Thanks to Vinnie for setting me up with that dodgy 1st
string on his Suhr, and also for the tales of the tortoise, Now get
your slippers on and get to the chippy Vinnie!

Thanks to everyone who contributed on Hotel California. A big hearted
thank you from Sam for that one it made this week a little more
bearable for her.

Thanks to everyone who made the event possible Da Manglement, Tony
White, Mike W and everyone else involved/ This was my first NW but it
wont be my last.

Ian R
