The original Svetlana EL34 (made in St. Petersburg) is markedly different in
construction from the Mullard as you say and is not a replica
in any way nor intended to be.
There are several performance similarities...ability to take abuse being
one!
We supply them (via our other company, PM Components)
to many major OEMs...Marshall amongst others.
If the tubes you have are not branded with the C logo then they are
not genuine made in the Svetlana factory St. Petersburg tubes.
There are other tubes around with the S logo that are not the
original product.
